Nag Panchami - Snake Photo

On the fifth day of Shravana bright,
Nag Panchami comes in sacred light.
A festival of faith, old and divine,
Where serpents are worshipped with milk and shrine.

Cobra coils in temples grand,
Blessings from Nag Devta’s hand.
We offer turmeric, milk, and rice,
Seeking protection, peace, and life.

In India’s vibrant rural land,
You’ll see snake worship truly grand.
Villagers chant and sway in grace,
To honor the serpent’s ancient place.

From Mahabharata tales of yore,
To Shiva’s snake on neck he bore,
This festival blends myth and lore,
Of Hindu traditions we adore.

With clay idols, snake charmers play,
And devotees fast this holy day.
Women pray for brothers’ lives,
Blessings bloom, harmony thrives.

Oh Nag Panchami celebration bright,
You link the heavens and earth in light.
You remind us of nature’s thread,
Where snakes and humans are spiritually wed.

The Sheshnag balances Earth below,
While Vasuki churns oceans slow.
Such powerful snakes in stories reside,
In every heart where faith and lore collide.

This Hindu snake festival, strong and pure,
Teaches us to respect and endure.
For every being has a role to play,
In Sanatan Dharma’s cosmic way.

So light a lamp, draw rangoli lines,
Offer milk and fragrant flower vines.
Celebrate the Nag Panchami fast,
Let divine snake blessings ever last.
